Currently, Schumacher is serving as managing director of TS Ventures, a role he has held since 2012. TS Ventures is a startup investments company with a focus on big data, consumer internet, search marketing, mobile advertising, web hosting, and cloud computing and clean energy. Schumacher is also the chairman of Eyeo GmbH the holding company behind Adblock Plus, leading ad blocking software that has been downloaded more than a billion times across the globe.
Early Years
In 2001 Tim Schumacher co-founded Sedo Holding AG and started serving as CEO. Sedo Holding AG is a leading global marketplace for buying and selling high-quality domain names. The company has over 10 million domain names and was publically traded. During Schumacher’s tenure, Sedo Holding AG had over EUR€100 million in revenue which has since increased to EUR€160 million. At the time of his exit, the company was valued at EUR€200 million. Between 2009 and 2012 Schumacher served as CEO for affilinet, a major European supplier of online performance-based marketing solutions and part of the Sedo group.
Location
Tim Schumacher was educated in Sweden and Germany. He achieved a master’s degree in finance and entrepreneurship from the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden and an MBA from the University of Cologne in Germany. Soon after graduating, Schumacher’s business interests took him to the United States where he set up additional offices for Sedo Holding Group. These days he is back in Germany. Schumacher speaks English, German and Swedish.

- LemonSwan – A dating service founded in 2017.
- ZOLAR – An online solar system provider that enables private households to achieve private energy supply systems.
- Piwik PRO – A customised analytics and customer data platform launched in 2013.
Latest News
In January 2019, Small Business Trends reported on Juicer.io, one of the companies in Schumacher’s investment portfolio. Juicer.io offers a tool that aggregates social media content. Talking to the digital business magazine, Schumacher said that Juicer.io is essentially an affordable high-quality tool that blends seamlessly into websites. In November 2018 Clean Technica interviewed Schumacher as an investor of Ecosia. In the Interview, Schumacher explained the company’s shift to a self-owned company.
