Brief History
Vranopoulos began his career in finance after obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in economics in 2001 from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. In 2007 he obtained his Master’s degree in business administration from the University Of Columbia Business School. Vranopoulos entered the financial workforce in 2001 as an analyst at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney, a London-based investment banking group which is part of the American company Citigroup. In 2007 Vranopoulos joined Goldman Sachs, the world-renowned investment management, banking and securities firm, as an executive director of the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities division.
As in October 2018, Vranopoulos is working at Eureka Capital Management LLC, a London-based investment firm. He also serves as the executive director of Greece-based financial B2B lending company FlexFin. Vranopoulos invests mainly in fintech, mobile fintech, analytics and data, market research and informational technology.

Dimitris Vranopoulos is primarily based in London, UK. He was born in Athens, Greece and he continues to support his native country through making investments in Greece, and through his role as executive director for FlexFin which is based in Greece. Vranopoulos’ investments are predominantly made in Europe even though he has branched out as far as Boston Massachusetts, New England and the Northern East Coast of the United States.
Remarkable Investments
With close to two decades of experience within the investment banking industry, Vranopoulos has made 19 investments and has successfully exited from six of them. Notably, Vranopoulos invests as an angel investor and predominantly within the seed round of funding. One of his most significant investments was in the Greece-based, Forky, a food processing company with the goal of providing healthy and delicious food options to people. The company raised a total of US$2.4 million in funding and was acquired by food production conglomerate Vivatria in 2017. In October of 2013, Vranopoulos, alongside five other investors, invested in the initial seed round of funding of ParkAround a mobile parking finder app which streamlines the process of finding a convenient parking space nearby. Pollfish, an online survey building platform, received a seed stage investment from Vranopoulos, a round that brought the funding total to €270,000.

It was reported that, in 2014 Vranopoulos invested in the mobile scheduling app BeautyBooked, an app that allows clients to find, connect with and schedule beauty services 24/7. The pioneering app allows clients to find the top-rated spas and salons within the area and has expanded to encompass BeautyPass, a monthly subscription service that allows clients to access treatments from salons that fall under the Beautybooks Umbrella. Vranopoulos has since exited the company, as it was announced in July 2016 that the company was acquired by StyleSeat – a giant in the mobile and online booking industry.
