Early Years
At the start of his entrepreneurial career in the United States in 1993, Val Babajov built a company called Webmessenger, Inc. from his garage. It was sold twice to public companies, the final sale happening in 2008. During this time Babajov was also a partner in a company called EarJam for two years between 1999 and 2001. After selling Webmessenger to FuzeBox, Babajov joined ClimateMinder, Inc. as president and chairman. ClimateMinder is an agricultural tech company. In 2009 he became the president and CEO of Partners 1993, Inc. a software development company. In 2010 Babajov founded VoiVoda Ventures, a venture fund company with a focus on technology investments, particularly B2B software startups. In 2015 he launched SoftAvail, Inc. a software company with a focus on mobile and internet communication platforms.
Location
Val Babajov is a Bulgarian American. Originally from Bulgaria, Babajov completed his basic education in 1972 before enrolling at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1976. He graduated in 1980 with a master’s degree in business informatics majoring in computer science. Babajov moved abroad to the United States where he resides and from where he makes his investments. He speaks English, Bulgarian and Russian.
Remarkable Investments
During 2009 Babajov personally invested and arranged funding between Pasadena Angels and Keiretsu Forum on behalf of ClimateMinder, his portfolio firm. The investor also joined Tech Coast Angels, a premier angel group in Los Angeles during this year. In 2011 Babajov became a member of The Angels Forum in California, United States – a position he held for over three years during which he made several investments alongside other members. In 2014 Babajov became the lead investor, president and chairman of, LeadSecure, a digital real estate platform. The following year he invested in VideoEngager, a software startup known as a disruptor to the consumer purchase market in the US which is valued at around US$5 trillion.

It was announced by Vator that the mobile app analytics company Leanplum received US$850,000 angel round investment from VoiVoda Ventures and others.
