About Renuka Ramnath

Renuka Ramnath is an Indian private equity fund manager, an advisor to funds of approximately US$ 1 billion, and the founder, MD, and CEO of Multiples Alternate Asset Management Ltd. She is also the chairperson of the Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (IVCA), and a board member of EMPEA.

Ramnath has over 30 years of experience in the Indian financial sector, across private equity, investment banking and structured finance. She started her career at the ICICI Group with leadership roles in investment banking, structured finance, and e-commerce, later becoming the MD and CEO of ICICI Venture, further leading it to become one of the largest private equity funds in India.

Passionate about the fine arts, Ramnath enjoys spending her free time designing unique and inspiring spaces and takes pleasure in sharing and advocating parenting tips.

Location

Ramnath’s career has been based in India. Her independent and Indian-focussed private equity firm has $1.5 billion under management and a portfolio of 21 companies.

An Indian national, Renuka Ramnath obtained her B.E. from V.J. Technological Institute (VJTI), and her MBA from the University of Mumbai. Ramnath further completed the Advanced Management Program, the International Senior Managers Program from the Graduate School of Business Administration at Harvard University in the United States. 

Remarkable Investments

Renuka Ramnath has a full cycle track record of investing capital raised from global institutions. Some of her personal venture investments include Air Deccan, India’s fist low-cost airline, and the water management company, VA Tech Wabag. She also engineered India’s first buyout of Tata Infomedia.

Multiples Alternate Asset Management invested US$ 20 million in the leading India-US based Applied AI and Big Data services company, Quantiphi.
