In 2000, Cuban purchased majority stakes in the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, who are currently listed as one of Forbes’ most valuable franchises in sports. He has been a Shark Tank investor since 2011, the same year in which he wrote the e-book “How to Win at the Sport of Business”.

Mark Cuban in the News

In September 2022, Forbes wrote an article about Cuban considering leaving Shark Tank. Cuban came across as someone who enjoys life and to whom investing is a competitive sports business. After briefly talking about his business and investment histories, the article goes into Cuban’s new pharmaceutical business, Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs. The aim of this project is to produce low-cost versions of expensive generic drugs and price them with transparency. Cuban has invested close to $100 million and insists that he will be pulling back from other projects to focus on this one.
