About Steve Reale
Early Years
Steve Reale graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in international politics and economics and Japanese. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Kauffman Fellow in venture capital.
Following his graduation, Reale participated in several investment opportunities at Robertson Stephens, Van Kasper & Company and JP Morgan. He also worked at Levensohn Venture Partners (LVP) for 17 years, where he worked with the company’s portfolio and served on several boards. He later went on to co-found the growth equity platform Madison Bay Capital Partners, where he was responsible for COO and CFO functions.
Remarkable Investments
Steve Reale has led several significant investments at different companies.
- In 2004, LVP led the funding for Ubicom, a multimedia content delivery company. They raised $21 million in series B funding, and another $20 million in series C funding in 2006.
- At Madison Bay Capital Partners, Aria Systems, a cloud-based monetization platform, had several successful rounds of funding:
- 2016: $50 million in Series E
- 2017: $18 million in Series F
- 2018: $30 million in a private equity round
- In 2022, Ulu Ventures raised $4.2 million in seed funding for CoreChain Technologies, the first digital B2B payments network built on blockchain.

In August 2022, Ulu Ventures led a seed round for the Kosovan company, Rubik, which closed at $3.5 million. Rubik uses machine learning to provide a solution to real estate investors seeking to find properties that match their investment criteria.
When CoreChain Technologies raised $4.2 million in April 2022, its total funding reached $5.5 million, including a pre-seed round of $1.25 million. The new round of funding also marked the company hitting a major milestone: over $1 billion of processing B2B payments.
